Vietnam ranks 6th among countries attracting foreign patients, indicating a high recognition of South Korea's medical technology and services. (*23,371 foreign patients from Vietnam visited Korea in 2023, according to the statistical analysis report on foreign patient attraction.)
Vietnamese medical professionals also show significant interest in South Korea's advanced medical technologies and products. However, considering the challenges of visiting South Korea, the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute have organized the "2024 Korea-Vietnam Healthcare Public Procurement Networking" event.
This event aims to introduce the public and private healthcare procurement markets in Vietnam and provide opportunities for collaboration between South Korean healthcare services and health industry companies. It is designed to build bridges for business connections between public and private healthcare institutions in Vietnam and South Korean healthcare services and health industry companies.
OTOM, participating in this event, expects to introduce its advanced medical devices in the Vietnamese market and secure a competitive position. By utilizing portable X-ray and diagnostic assistance AI software, the company aims to enhance accessibility to medical services in underserved areas of Vietnam and contribute to reducing healthcare costs while exploring export opportunities to local public and military hospitals.
